Animal Outreach of the Mother Lode is a low cost not-for-profit animal rescue group and spay/neuter clinic. Our mission is to reduce the number of cats euthanized in the area, provide homes for abandoned and surrendered cats and educate the public about animal welfare and related topics. Our mission is also to protect the welfare of the animals we come in contact with, and to promote the humane treatment and well being of all animals.

We provide a spay/neuter/vaccination clinic for cats and dogs. We have cats in shelter care, and all are available for adoption. Animal Outreach of the Mother Lode is located in Northern California, just east of Sacramento in the small community of Diamond Springs, near Placerville.

Our main goal is to help ease the feline pet overpopulation problem by providing low-cost spay and neuter services for cats and dogs to El Dorado and surrounding counties. Animal Outreach is staffed by dedicated and skilled volunteers who maintain the clinic and office.
